This month’s feature is Robin Chase Robin moved to Maplewood from Park Slope 15 years ago. After spending nearly 20 years as a special education teacher, she decided to follow her passion for food photography. During an apprenticeship program, it was suggested she pair with a food stylist. Robin met Sue Von Brachel, another

Maplewoodian, and launched Robinandsue.com 8 years ago. Since then, they’ve photographed everything from restaurants and cookbooks to product packaging and social media. They recently did a photoshoot with the fitness brand, Tonal. When she’s not shooting food, she’s pursuing her other passion, trail running. Robin runs ultramarathons (defined as any distance over a marathon). So when she’s not in the studio, she’s in the woods! Robin lives with her husband, Don, and her three boys in an active house that’s rarely quiet.
