MEET THE MOSHER FAMILY When Rebeca Mosher and her family decided to move from Jersey City to South Orange three years ago they were in search of more space and better school systems. Their realtor suggested they consider South Orange along with Maplewood, and it turned out to be a great decision. The Mosher family’s journey to South Orange is filled with fun stories, including how Rebeca and Geoff met almost 15 years ago. “It was a meet cute type of situation,” Rebeca recalled. “I was moving out of my place in Jersey City and needed help with some furniture. I asked Geoff and his friend, who were walking by my place on their way to a bar, to help me move a couch. Having just come from moving one of their mutual friends, they joked about looking like movers, but they graciously helped me. That night, we all connected, became friends, and a month later, Geoff and I started dating. We got married a year after.” Their son Klaus, who is nine years old, is thriving in their new environment. He enjoys biking around their neighborhood with friends and playing video games like Roblox and Minecraft. “I like to bike around South Orange, especially Tuxedo Park,” Klaus said. He also enjoys getting bubble tea from a local spot called Chipoba. The Moshers are a musical family, attending concerts regularly. “Klaus has been going to concerts since he was six,” Rebeca shared. “His first concert was Tears For Fears.” Klaus takes piano and guitar lessons at Mark Murphy and has perfect pitch. “He makes up his own songs and has the heart of a composer,” Rebeca said proudly. Rebeca was once a professional jazz singer and composer. But when their son Klaus was born she transitioned into giving her already existing professional
