OYSTERFEST OYSTERFEST CELEBRATES 10 YEARS OF COMMUNITY AND IMPACT

The Robert J. Miller Oysterfest is back and ready to rock as it celebrates its 10th anniversary at The Woodland in Maplewood on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 6–10 PM. Since its inception in 2015, Oysterfest has raised over $150,000 toward melanoma awareness, vital research grants, and support for local families in need. This beloved event, hosted in partnership with the Township of Maplewood, has cemented itself as a highlight on the community calendar with its blend of music, food, and charitable giving. This year’s milestone celebration promises to be unforgettable with catering by local favorite Celebrated Foods, two live bands, Hoi Polloi and Black Tie Groove, an open bar, the enchanting sounds of bagpipers, and, of course, the signature oyster and raw bar that has become synonymous with the event. Guests will also hear about the Melanoma Research Foundation’s establishment of the 2024 research grant in memory of Robert J. Miller, which was awarded to Jayesh Menon, a University of Rochester medical student dedicated to studying metastatic melanoma. “Ten years ago, we set out to honor Bob’s memory in a way that brought people together,” shares Grace Miller, co-founder of the Robert J. Miller Foundation. “This event is a tribute to his life but also to the heart of this community—one that shows up, gives back, and makes a lasting difference.” Tickets for this adult-only event are $150 per person and $75 for young adults aged 21–25.
