innocent person.” She added “Even though they have experienced such trauma, our clients have amazing optimism and grace. After release, many dedicate themselves to help others who are also wrongfully convicted.” Amina and Christina enjoy traveling. Recently they went to the Bahamas over Spring Break for Amina. They both enjoy going to Broadway shows. Two notable favorites are “Hadestown” and “Hamilton”. When they are not traveling, or seeing Broadway Shows in the City, you may find them in Maplewood enjoying local restaurants. Since the pandemic, you may find them dining with friends at Coda. Amina is currently in 8th grade at Kent Place School. She has been at Kent Place for 7th and 8th grade. Next year, she plans to return to SOMS and attend Columbia High School. Her athletic interests include Lacrosse, Basketball and Soccer. She is an avid reader who enjoys Stephen King novels. Amina, like her mother, is a supporter of social justice. Coincidently, Amina’s favorite book is Between the World and Me , written by Ta-Nehisi Coates. Amina and Christina recently viewed the Columbia High School’s production of “Newsies”. “We both love what SOMA has to offer and that Maplewood is our home!” Christina shared.
