Lateral Files

Heavy gauge welded steel construction ensures rigidity and durability for many years of use. Files will accommodate letter or legal hanging files. A mechanical interlock system prevents more than one drawer from opening at a time to eliminate the danger of tipping. Drawers and shelves glide on heavy duty, full extension ball bearing suspensions. A single lock controls all openings. Locks are core removable and master keyed (order keys separately). Each opening is equipped with side-to-side hang rods for the folders. Optional front-to-back rods (H15CR) are available.

Drawers and doors have easy grip, full-width pulls with recessed label holders. Four leveling glides allow the unit to be leveled on uneven floors. To reduce risk of tipping, order two drawer lateral files with counterweights (suffix “W”) for all applications except under a work surface in a workstation. Five and six-high units have retractable door(s) with roll- out drawer on top opening(s). Choose an optional laminate top to create a work surface on two and three-high files. Specify Oak or Walnut. Tennsco vertical files are as attractive as they are dependable. Contemporary design features full- width recessed handles with plastic label holders. Drawers operate quietly and effortlessly on steel ball bearing suspensions. All hanging files in a drawer are visible as drawers extend fully on the three-section telescoping suspensions. A single lock controls all drawers. Locks are core removable and are master keyed (order master keys separately). An interlock system keeps more than one drawer from opening at a time. Choose the bookcase depth that best meets your needs – 13 1 ⁄ 2 " or 18". Deeper units can also be used as a cabinet without doors to store things other than books and binders. Durable, strong units feature welded construction with clean lines so side-to-side units fit flush together. Raised base provides protection for materials on bottom shelf. Shelves are adjustable in 2" increments on built-in support tabs. Shelf load capacity is 130 lbs. for the 13 1 ⁄ 2 "D units and 150 lbs. for the 18"D units. Mobile units are available in four heights with 4" swivel casters, two of which are locking. Durable powder-coat paint finish available in five colors. FOB Shipping Point.
