Rural Heritage December 2025/January 2026

by Joe Mischka E ach year, the American Brabant Association holds their annual event where members can spend a day visiting and working with their horses before their annual meeting. This year's event was a two-day affair with members only on Friday, Sept 26, and open to the public the following day. Friday night was capped off with live music after dinner. The first of these Rendezvous I attended was in 2021 at the Julian Dairy Farm in Medford, Wis., when the ABA was in its early days. Since then, they've traveled to Wyoming, West Virginia and Iowa. The 2025 event was back in Medford, where folks from across the country met to visit about the breed and their horses. Public demonstrations included log skidding, plowing, manure spreading, corn chopping and hay baling. 2025 ABA Rendezvous
