April 5 Sixteen-Up Mule Hitch — A group of mule skinners and teamsters bring together their mules and expertise to put together a 16-mule-hitch to be driven with a jerk line at the Trailblazer Days event in Thermopolis, Wyoming, June 12–14. We watch them harness and hook up the mules and practice having them walk in a straight line and keep the chain running between the teams the length of the hitch taut. April 12 Suffolk Training Part 1 — Ralph Rice begins a training regimen with a two-year-old and a yearling, both Suffolks, to make them his go-to team for the foreseeable future. He introduces the youngsters to a variety of equipment and tasks in preparation. April 19 Suffolk Training Part 2 —Ralph continues his training of his young Suffolk team and explains this philosophy for working with young horses. April 26 Tips from Donn Part 1— Donn Hewes explains how he hooks and unooks teams from a variety of implements in a variety of situations, emphasizing teamster and team safety.
May 3 Teamster Gathering Part 1— Teamsters bring their draft animals to the Shaker Village in Pleasant Hill, Ky., for the first annual Southeast DAPNet Gathering. Plowing, logging and other farm tasks are demonstrated and attendees get hands-on experience. May 10 Teamster Gathering Part 2 — The teamsters from Part 1 will perform pasture management with their teams. Georges Gawinowski demonstrates his Kassine toolbar implement May 17 Planting Wheat in Taylor — Every year a group of teamsters gather in Taylor, North Dakota, to plant wheat in the spring and harvest it in the fall, all with horses. In this episode we watch them plow, disc, harrow and seed. May 24 Brewington Plow Day — Mike Brewington may not be able to get around well enough to work horses anymore, but he remains active with his friends who can by hosting a plow day in Barlow, Ky. May 31 Lyndon Farm Show — Teamsters compete in a variety of events for cash prizes with their horses and mules, including obstacle courses, feed races, cultivator races and more.
