ROSEHILL CHRISTIAN IS FACED WITH A BITTERSWEET FAREWELL TO A LEGEND IN THEIR ATHLETICS’ PROGRAM. After a career that spanned two decades, earning 265 wins, 15 playoff appearances, 4 district titles, and 2 state championships, Coach Robert Cooper decided to retire at the conclusion of this year’s baseball season. He will be sorely missed, considering he quite literally built the RCS powerhouse from the ground up. “I first began coaching here in 2003 and none of this stuff (baseball facilities) was here – there was just an old cow pasture out back,” said Cooper. “We started a team that needed work to begin with, but since about 2012, I think we (Rosehill Christian) have become the gold standard for TAPPS 3A. “We’ve been competitive year in and year out, and the school has been great to us. It’s been fun – it was a good time.” Throughout his tenure at Rosehill Christian, Cooper led the Eagles to prominence – highlighted by consecutive State Championships in 2016 and 2017. “I have a lot of fond memories of that class (of 2018) that won
