VOLLEYBALL

COACH MALLORY JACKS’ SQUAD DOMINATED THE TAPPS-3A SCENE ONCE AGAIN IN 2023. FOLLOWING AN UNDEFEATED (14-0) DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP, RCS WOULD ULTIMATELY ADVANCE TO THE STATE SEMIFINALS AND FINISH THE SEASON WITH A RECORD OF 27-10. WHILE VOLLEYBALL IS WITHOUT A DOUBT A TEAM-SPORT, THERE WERE PLENTY OF INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCES WHO MADE THIS TEAM AS PROFICIENT AS THEY WERE. SENIORS KALEIGH FRAZIER AND MERCY FREEMAN ANCHORED THE EAGLES, PAIRED WITH IMPRESSIVE SHOWINGS FROM KEELY MCNEILL, MACY MCPARTLAND AND MCKENZIE PAMPHILE.

CROSS COUNTRY

ROSEHILL CHRISTIAN XC EXCELLED AS USUAL WITHIN THE TOUGH TAPPS-3A CONFERENCE. FOLLOWING A SUCCESSFUL SHOWING AT THE DISTRICT MEET, COACH DAVID SAYE AND COMPANY TRAVELED TO WACO TO COMPETE FOR A TAPPS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. WHILE THEY DIDN’T CROSS THE FINISH LINE WITH A TITLE, THERE WERE STILL SEVERAL NOTE-WORTHY PERFORMANCES FROM KEY CONTRIBUTORS – VERNON SHOTWELL, LAUREN PEART, CARTER JOHNSON, JAYCEE JENKINS AND ETHAN ZAVALA.
