Ridge Point Fall 2023 Volleyball
FRESH Faces MEET OUR NEWEST VARSITY PLAYERS
Q: Earlier, you mentioned several players who are known quantities. Is there another particular player, or more than one, that you really expect to burst onto the varsity scene and do things at a high level that she hasn’t done on a volleyball court to this point?
A: I’m really interested to see what our (varsity) newcomers are going to do. The girls I named earlier already know what they can do, and I know what they bring to the table. I’m very excited for them to do that, because it’s their time, their junior or senior year. It’s time for them to step up and show out, but I’m also really interested to see what our what some more of our underclassmen will do, and what some of our seniors that I haven’t mentioned (who haven’t been on the varsity roster before), how they will perform. They’ve been working really hard to prove themselves and show what they can offer. I’m excited to see what kind of everybody can do, not just us a single person, really. ~ Lauryn Bailey
Making the Varsity Roster on the Ridge Point Panther Volleyball team is no simple feat in itself. What these Fresh Faces bring to the varsity team this season are just the right mix of ingredients to deliver REDEMPTION for the program. Jayden Robinson (OH/RS) Soph : Brings the IT factor when she steps on the Emory Harper (MB) Junior : Quiet player but when
she talks, you listen because what she has to say is either funny, encouraging, or positive! She will continue to blossom as time goes by! Phoebe Hobbs (S) Sr : Has a smile that will light up a room and has really stepped into her role this season as a setter; she works extremely hard and wants to do her best for her team.
court; she brings a competitiveness and consistency with her game.
Nadia Toussaint (S) Sr : The most caring person you will ever meet; truly wants the best for everyone and encourages other people’s success.
Madison Flores (L) Junior : Her volleyball IQ has grown tremendously this year and she has completely dominated the back row and has become a leader for us! Addison Menefee (RS) Junior : Takes every single opportunity to improve and help her team be successful, no matter what that may look like or how she does it!
Tamia Davis (RS/MB) Sr : The girl who can jump out of the gym! Tamia works extremely hard and makes our hitters work harder when they go up against her on the block! Strong and resilient are the words that come to mind when I think of Tamia.
Sariah Johnson (OH/RS/DS) Sr : Works incredibly hard at practice and makes us better by challenging us offensively and defensively.
Marai Guinyard (DS/L) Sr : Marai came into a brand new school her senior year not knowing anyone and has done it with grace and humility. She is a positive soul and we are lucky to have had her for her senior year.
