P ottsboro is home to a involved with and give back. Keep Pottsboro Beautiful provides opportunities to help clean up the city. Other local interest groups in clude Pink Impact Foundation, Pottsboro Senior Center, the Pottsboro ISD Education Foundation and the Locust Volunteer Fire Department. “When you have reached a certain point, people often think that they have done their part,” Peddicord said at his 2018 birthday party. “But I want to see the spirit of community and the spirit of camaraderie and all that goes with it. All too often, towns small like Pottsboro will let down and things will go to pot. I would hate to see that.” There are local chapters of a number of national organizations including the Lions Club, Rotary International, United Way of Grayson County and Goodwill Industries. For individuals with a desire to help people achieve a healthier living, the Texoma Health Foundation and Reba’s Ranch House provide services for a broad range of health issues. For the service-minded individual with a military background there is the American Legion M.I.A. Post, VFW Lakeside Post and Vietnam Veterans of America.

Anyone seeking to get involved will find plenty of opportunities with these family, community and civic organizations.
