The Community Foundation of Central Illinois (CFCI) is a nonprofit organization that manages and distributes charitable funds within a 50-mile radius of Peoria (excluding Knox and McLean counties) CFCI provides a way for people to support their local communities through charitable giving, helping to build stronger, more resilient communities over time WHAT WE DO: 1. Grantmaking and scholarships : CFCI distributes grants and scholarships to individuals, nonprofit organizations, and charities We have a board of directors and advisory committees that review applications and make funding decisions 2. Donor Services : CFCI works with donors to help them create charitable funds that reflect their philanthropic interests Donors can make a tax-deductible contribution to the Foundation, and the Foundation will manage the funds and distribute grants to nonprofits or scholarships to individuals on behalf of the donor 3. Endowment management : We manage endowments, which are permanent
