No local, state or federal tax dollars support our program.  92% of our students successfully complete coursework and are entering theworkforce or transferring to complete a four-year program  Top career paths include Healthcare, Education, Engineering, Community Service, Skilled Trades and Business.  48% are first in family to attend college, 76% are considered low income.  73%of our students workwhile in school.

VISION Peoria’s economic growth relies on an ed ucated and skilled local workforce. Recent declining enrollment and falling graduation rates, higher poverty and family flight had left the city with fewer skilled workers. In creasing the number of local young adults with postsecondary degrees translates into greater job opportunities, higher incomes, home buyers and reduction in crime, pro viding skilled workers for the Peoria area. WHAT WE DO Peoria Promise is a tuition reimbursement program available to all City of Peoria high school graduates to attend Illinois Central College. Applicants must be a resident of Peoria for a minimum of four years and graduate from high school public or private. Home School and GED students
