VISION Health. Safety. Advocacy. WHAT WE DO

DID YOU KNOW? We offer specializedmedical care to victims of child physical abuse, sexual abuse and neglect by a board-certified child abuse pediatrician and two advanced practice nurses who are also national board certified pediatric/adolescent sexual assault nurse examiners. We offer child-centered medical social services to children and their families. Education to community groups and child-protection professionals is available regarding child maltreatment and its prevention.

The Pediatric Resource Center is the only program in the region providing complete head-to-toe examinations in a child friendly manner by specially-trained and certified medical staff to victims of child maltreatment. We serve children frombirth to age 18. Since opening our doors in 1993, we have evaluatedmore than 9,000 children from62 counties and eight states. Our staff uses education, distraction and calming techniques to normalize the specialized medical evaluation for our young patients.
