ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that causes a progressive loss of muscle control, robbing an individual of the ability to walk, talk, speak, and eventually breath. ALS can strike anyone at any time. Military veterans are approximately twice as likely to develop ALS.
The ALS Association is the only national not for-profit health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS on every front. The ALS Association Greater Chicago Chapter proudly serves hundreds of individuals and
