The goal for theWomen’s Fund is to create a million-dollar endowment. For the first time in the history of the Women’s Fund, the endowment is over $750,000, and we are committed to reaching the million dollar mark in the next ten years. This level of giving to the Women’s Fund creates a legacy that will live on beyond all of us. With a million-dollar endowment, theWomen’s Fund would be able to grant over $40,000 to deserving programs each and every year for generations to come. Emerging Philanthropists Fund : The CFCI Emerging Philanthropists Fund is an initiative designed to invigorate emerging community leaders to come together as philanthropists. Since its inception in 2012, the Emerging Philanthropists Fund has granted over $45,000 to support innovative programs serving an unmet need in the community and it has built a permanent endowed fund that has surpassed $50,000. The Emerging Philanthropists Fund membership is comprised of a cross section of professionals in central Illinois who have an interest in positively impacting the quality of life in our community through grantmaking. Each year as the Fund grows, a portion is re-granted into the community. Interested individuals may join the Emerging Philanthropists Fund at any time to become a positive force in philanthropy for the central Illinois community. Legacy Society : The Legacy Society is a group of dedicated individuals that recognize the value of the Community Foundation of Central Illinois and support our mission by naming the Community Foundation in their will or other planned giving vehicle, or who have established a permanent endowment fund with our organization. Planned giving offers flexible and simple options to support your passions beyond your lifetime.Workingwith an attorney, you can add simple bequest language to your will to support either CFCI’s unrestricted fund or a named component fund within the Foundation.

WHAT WE DO The Community Foundation of Central Illinois carries out our mission by building permanent endowments as charitable capital for the central Illinois community. We maintain high professional standards in the investment and management of funds entrusted to the Foundation. We also promote effective and efficient grantmaking to serve current and future needs of central Illinois. The Community Foundation of Central Illinois acts as a vehicle to serve donors with varied interests at various levels of charitable giving. We link donors with the charitable agencies that can most efficiently carry out the objectives and desires of the donors. We offer maximum flexibility in terms of assets that can be used to create a fund and options for the use of donors’ gifts. Women’s Fund: TheWomen’s Fund endow ment supports projects that strengthen families and communities by empowering women and girls. As women grow in influ ence and financial strength, so does their ability to give back. Since its inception, the Women’s Fund has contributed well over $400,000 in grants to support local non profit organizations. Gifts to the Women’s Fund help grow the endowment to change lives in central Illinois for years to come.
