WHAT WE DO WTVP has been a trusted, valued, essential community service since 1971, providing quality television and educational outreach programs. We are one of the few remaining locally owned media outlets in the region, and as a PBS affiliate, occupy a unique place in the media marketplace. WTVP also publishes Peoria Magazine , a community focused journal of regional business, the arts and culture. WTVP broadcasts five distinct channels — WTVP-HD (47.1), PBSKids (47.2),World (47.3), Create (47.4) and WTVP REMOTE (47.5) — withaward-winningchildren’sprogramming, national/international news, science, the arts, drama, documentaries, travel, cooking, self-improvement and local productions that engage, entertain and inspire. Our commitment to education is visible in the children’s programming on PBS Kids and support of the online resources of PBS LearningMedia. WTVP REMOTE broadcasts a daily line-up of age-specific instructional content and is accessible in underserved rural and urban areas without cable TV or a high-speed internet connection.
