THE PEDIATRIC DENTIST
®
You send your son or daughter to a pediatrician for a good reason. And it’s the same reason why your child’s oral health should be managed by a pediatric dentist: because treating children with kindness, consideration, and focused attention is what we’re known for, and we’re the best at it. Tips And Guidance
Customized Plans
We can also give tips and guidance to you and your child on proper growth, development, nutrition, brushing, and flossing. Older kids can learn from us about wisdom teeth, tobacco use, and oral piercings, too. And families of children with special needs and disabilities know they can turn to pediatric dentists for compassionate care and customized treatment plans. Provide a Dental Home Most importantly, we can provide a Dental Home for your child—a fun, positive, nurturing, and comfortable environment where they can feel calm, safe, and well cared for in the hands of a dentist they know and trust. This is best achieved when the first dental visit occurs at age one or after the first tooth comes in and long before there is a dental prob lem. For best results, we’ll want to see your child at least twice a year to ensure desired oral health.
THE PEDIATRIC DENTIST
As a parent, you want the best health care for your child. And so do we. We’re pediatric dentists, and we’re specially trained to provide oral health care for children from birth through adolescence. In fact, the only patients we see are infants, children, teenagers, and those with special needs. We love working with kids, and we know how to calm their fears and anxieties, eliminate discomfort, and promote healthy oral care habits they’ll use at home. Why choose a pediatric dentist?
That’s because we:
Have two to three years of extra training and experience than most dentist graduates. Regularly take continuing education courses that enable us to use the latest tools and techniques. Build a trusting relationship with kids from an early age. Use special behavior guidance techniques to make your child comfortable, including tell-show-do and distraction via toys, movies, and video games. Focus on prevention and early detection which allow for simple and conservative treatment. Partner with other health care experts to manage your child’s overall health.
