The 2022 Fine Art Fair poster commemorating the Peoria Art Guild’s 60th anniversary has been created and printed and was unveiled Aug. 5. The poster was designed and letterpress printed by the Peoria Print Co-op using antique wood and metal type and ornaments, and hand-printed at the Peoria Art Guild on a Vandercook no. 4 press. A limited edition of 50 numbered posters are being sold through reservation on a first-come, first-served basis until they are gone. The poster are $30 each. Illinois Central College has beennamed by the U.S. Economic Development Administration as one of 32 grant award winners through its $500million Good Jobs Challenge program. ICC and its regional partners will be receiving nearly $15 million from the program to develop an IT certification ecosystem in central Illinois. The program aims to pair employers with hiring needs with other key entities to train workers with in-demand skills that lead to well-paid work. Stark County , the last Illinois county without a 911 system, will get $2.4 million in state funding to create an emergency center. In the fall of 2021, the Peoria Stark Joint Emergency Telephone System Board was created. A new 911 Emergency Communications
