Located just 25 minutes from Peoria, we are a short drive to find your new best friend. TAPS No-Kill Animal Shelter rescues animals both locally and from rural, underserved communities to give dogs and cats in need a 2nd chance at happily ever after.

Puppies like Pongo arrive at TAPS with their moms and once weaned, are spayed/ neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and made available for adoption.

Kittens like Princess Leia and Skywalker arrived at TAPS after being found abandoned on a property. They will be fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped and made available for adoption.

Dogs like Oatmeal are transferred in from local animal controls. Once at TAPS, we get to know their personalities and work to place them with the best home possible so they do not end up back in the shelter system again.

VOLUNTEER

When you adopt from TAPS, your new pet comes spay/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines and microchipped. Your new pet is ready to go home and be a part of your family!
