Phil Luciano , an adjunct instructor at Bradley University since 1997 and part of its English Department faculty, was named as the recipient of the school’s 2022 Robert F. DeGise and Bernard T. Hofreiter Affiliate Faculty Teaching Excellence Award. This award is the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences’ highest teaching honor for an affiliate faculty member. ELECTIONS AND SELECTIONS Martin Johnson , senior pastor at NewBeginnings Ministr ies , 3201 NE Madison in Peoria, has been named lead chaplain for the Peoria Police Department. NEWS YOU CAN USE OSF Children’s Hospital has reopened the only emergency room designed just for children and families in central Illinois. The space was closed during the COVID pandemic. The Children’s Emergency Room is located to the right of the OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center emergency room and is open 24 hours every day. “Children are not just small adults and can’t be treated as such,” says Deb Trau, director of Emergency Services. “They have special needs that require specially trained physicians, nurses and support staff. That’s exactly what we’re providing.”

HIRES AND RETIRES Cullinan Properties announced that Josh Williams has joined the company as senior vice president and director of investments. He will be based in Houston, Texas. Bloomington-based Pinnacle Actuarial Resources, Inc. has hired Megan Baker and Patrick Newell as consulting actuaries. Also, the company promoted associate actuaries James Wencil and Joey Sveda to consulting actuaries. The Dirksen Congressional Center has named Chr is Kaergard as communications director and associate historian. Kaergard most recently worked as an editor and reporter at the Peoria Journal Star. ShellyPeters has joined OSFHealthCare Foundation as the Planned Giving Officer. Shelly assumed her role onMay 2 and succeeds Micki McCarthy. She comes to OSF from Bradley University where she served as the Director of Planned Giving. Shelly brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to serving others in her new position and is ready and available to work with anyone who

desires to make a bequest or provide in their will toward an area of interest offered through OSF HealthCare. KimRapp , Director of OSF HealthCare Foundation Finance and Operations, has retired effective April 30, 2022. Kim provided more than 19 years of exemplary service to both the Foundation and OSF HealthCare. CLIMBING THE LADDER OppFi Inc. , the Chicago-based financial-technology company, has promoted Pamela Johnson of Peoria from chief accounting officer to chief financial officer.
