Peoria Historical Society TO OFFER HISTORY TOURS
P eoria Historical Society will offer guided history tours June through October. Bus tours will be from an air-conditioned, 20-passenger shuttle bus. Several walking tours also will be offered. “Participants will receive fascinating, in-depth looks at aspects of Peoria, from its prosperous whiskey distilling days, to the Roaring ‘20s, to historic neighborhoods and businesses, to notable people who shaped the community, andmuch, muchmore,” said tours coordinator Beth Johnson.

Meet at 525 N. Kickapoo Creek Road. Most of the hiking is moderate, but the trailhead and a few other ascents are steep. Free and open to all ages. JUNE 19-25 Explore Peoria through Geocaches Peoria Public Library Lakeview Branch, 1137 W. Lake Ave. Learn how to use GPS to play “hide-and seek” with hidden treasures throughout our city.
