September Nott of Peoria has been honored by the American Red Cross Blood Donation Center in Peoria as a member of the 2022 class of the Fresenius-Kabi Donation

Hall of Fame. Nott is a longtime platelet donor and supporter of the platelet donation community, with 187 donations and 490 units. During the pandemic, she helped protect and connect the platelet donor community, donating roughly 1,800 hand-sewn masks to platelet donors and platelet collection staff members. OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria has earned a distinguished three-star rating from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) for its patient care and outcomes in isolated coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) procedures. The three-star rating, which denotes the highest category of quality, places OSF Saint Francis among the elite for heart bypass surgery in the United States and Canada. For the first time, UnityPoint Health – Pekin Hospital has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in ultrasound by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. The Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice has announced that the Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center is in full compliance with Illinois juvenile detention standards. The IDJJ’s annual inspection highlighted the facility’s compliance in the areas of education; admission policy and procedures; personnel, staffing and supervision; detention programs, youth discipline and confinement; and medical and health care.
