LOVERS FOR LIFE The McClugage Bridge ospreys have nested at the same spot for five straight years, but they’ll soon need a new bridge … er, home

In this June photo, an osprey perches inside a nest atop the eastbound McClugage Bridge. This osprey and its mate have lived in the nest each mating season (March through August) since 2019. After August 2024, the span will come down, replaced by a new eastbound bridge. The birds will have to find a new home in 2025, but could return to the area
