Hawley Country Club for anyone who has relocated to the greater Peoria area in the last three years. “As a fellow transplant to the region with a full time job, I understand how difficult it can be to meet and connect with other people,” said David Aduama, communications manager of the Greater Peoria Economic Development Council. “We want to provide an ongoing space for newcomers to build a sense of community, engage, share

NEWS YOU CAN USE The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) is collaborating with the University of Illinois Chicago to bring a Long COVID study to patients in central Illinois. The study is part of a four-year, $22 million endeavor through the Enhance Recovery Initiative at the National Institutes of Health . It involves both Peoria and Chicago researchers who will work with patients, public health departments, health care providers and community-based organizations to study what makes an individual vulnerable to Long COVID.
