Network Users Manual

INTRODUCTION The purpose of this manual is to provide basic information and recommendations for network and systems administrators with yearbook staffs that use Adobe® software (InDesign®, Photoshop®) and Walsworth’s software, called Enhancements, to create their yearbook. This manual is not intended to explain how to install and use Walsworth’s Enhancements or any Adobe products on a network or shared drive, only on individual workstations. OVERVIEW OF REQUIREMENTS The following information includes workstation requirements for the installation of Walsworth’s Enhancements and Adobe software. The Enhancements are located under the InDesign and Enhancement Update tabs on Support Download. Instructions for installing the Enhancements are in the Planning section of The Process Manual. HARDWARE, OPERATING SYSTEM AND PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS Walsworth Enhancements will be provided for the following Adobe InDesign versions. • InDesign CC2021-CC2022 Telephone support is provided for all Adobe versions at 800-369-1530. INDESIGN CC 2021 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Windows • Intel® Pentium® 5 or AMD Athlon® 64 processor • Windows 10 (64-bit) • Supported on Windows 10 versions 1607, 1809, 1903, 1909, 2004. • Minimum 4 GB of RAM (16 GB recommended) • 3.6 GB of available hard-disk space for installation, additional free space required during installation (cannot install on removable flash storage devices) SSD recommended • 1024 x 768 display (1920 X 1080 recommended), HiDPI display support • 32-bit video card • Internet connection and registration are necessary for required software activation, validation of subscriptions, and access to online services.*

For thin client networks, Walsworth Enhancements are not compatible and must be installed with a local client installation of Adobe Creative Suite or InDesign.
