About the Organization e SloanMuseum of Discovery opened in July 2022 as a totally re-imagined interactive science and history museumwith four primary learning galleries (Discovery Hall science gallery,Hagerman Street Early Childhood Learning gallery, e History Gallery and e Durant Vehicle Gallery). Starting in July 2023, a fth gallery will open for special traveling exhibits. e Longway Planetarium is Michigan’s largest and most technologi cally-advanced planetarium, featuring live and full-dome astronomy and educational programming. Key Services Together, the education sta at SloanMuseum and Longway Plan etarium o er hands-on STEMprogramming at schools, libraries and within the classrooms of the museum and planetarium; the education team also provides programming for Girl Scouts,Boy Scouts and public hands-on workshops.
