Inno particular order, they are: squirrels,Transformer toys,movies andLEGO®.Within the last fewyears,my LEGOcollectionhas grown significantly.Myfianceé and I love tohaveLEGOweekendswhenwe gobuy a fewLEGO sets, relax andput themtogether.So,obviously,we are super excitedabout“LEGOMasters”Season2!On this competition TVshowonFOX,LEGObuilders create amazingdesigns fromscratchaccording todifferentweekly themes. Iwish Ihad their ability; Ihave ahardenough time following the printeddirections!On the show, two-person teams gohead to-head,with infinitepossibilities andanunlimited supplyof LEGObricks.Throughout the competition,hostWillArnett andexpert judges encourage the amateur builders, introduce incredible challenges andput the creations to the test.The teamswho impress the judges themost progress to thenext round. In thefinale, the top teams faceoff for a cashprize, the ultimateLEGOtrophy and the grand titleofLEGOMaster. This seasonhas two teams fromMichigan!Howcool is that? “LEGOMasters” gets an easy 5 out of 5 Squirrels. Onmy “upcoming” list in last month’s column, onemovie I was really looking forward towas “TheTomorrowWar,” an Americanmilitary sci-fi action filmdirected by ChrisMcKay and starringChris Pratt and J.K. Simmons.The story centers around amix of present-day soldiers and civilians sent into the future to save humanity fromannihilation.During a soccer game, a group of humans emerge froma wormhole to inform the world that in the future, humanity is dead.The time travelers have a plan to stop the catastrophe, but they need soldiers to help fight in the war.The world replies with an international army draft to fill the future’s ranks.

Thismovie has a lot going on, and I won’t lie, it can get somewhat confusing. But overall, I will say that it’s a funwatch – I mean,wormholes, time travel, plot twists and J.K. Simmons – what else do you want or need? (By

the way, if you haven’t seen“Whiplash” yet starring Simmons, go watch it.) I give “The TomorrowWar” 3 out of 5 Squirrels. My final recommendation for thismonth is amovie that has been onmy list for awhile. I enjoymovies based on true stories, such as this one, and I finally decided to give it awatch.And, letme tell you,“BlueMiracle”hookedme right away. In it,PapaOmar (played by JimmyGonzales) and his wife are surrogate parents tomore than a dozen orphans.They live together in ameager dwelling, dubbed CasaHogar, and bills are piling up. In an attempt to save their home,PapaOmar and the kids teamupwithwashed-up and boozy boat captainWade (played byDennisQuaid) for a chance towin a lucrative fishing competition.Youwill have towatch“BlueMiracle” onNetflix to find out if they succeed. (DennisQuaid’s performance alonemakes thismovieworth it.) “BLUE MIRACLE” NETFLIX
