Locking Pawl Class I Division 2 and Class I Zone 2 hazardous location ratings are based on using the pawl to lock devices in the mated position so that all sources of power to the device can be turned off before the device can be disconnected.

Before connection, ensure that the circuit is deenergized. Align the red dots, push the plug partially in, then turn clockwise slightly to line up the latch with the catch.
Spring-Loaded Butt-Style Contacts
Ensures optimal contact force and superior electrical performance.
Silver-Nickel Contacts Silver-nickel contact material provides superior conductivity, durability and corrosion resistance.
Lid When closed, the lid maintains Type 4X protection for the receptacle after removal of the plug.

Push the plug fully home until it is held in place by the latch. The circuit is now closed.
