The type of marble is impervious to the elements. The stone carving tools used today have not changed much from Michangelo’s time. The rough stone is first pounded with a pitching hammer and then sculpted with special pointing tools and files. The end result is spectacular pieces to aid your worship space. We can create sculptures in granite and marble. We use only the highest quality marble made for the quarries of Tuscany; Bianco Puro or Bianco Duro, Di Carrara and #8211, which is the same marble used by Michelangelo. In 1517, Michelangelo found the “cava” di Seravezza on the mountain Altissimo.
