Scholarships Higher education doesn’t have to mean high costs . MATC wants to help you fi nd ways to pay for a life-transforming degree that can lead to a family-sustaining career . Check out the following scholarships offered by the MATC Foundation . The MATC Promise Plus MATC established Wisconsin’s fi rst Promise program in 2015, supporting uncovered tuition expenses . The program was later expanded to include students completing their GED, HSED or MATC’s Adult High School during the eligible time frame . Now, the Promise Plus supports uncovered tuition costs and required program fees, books or supplies . Who is eligible? Students attending MATC directly from or a few years after high school, students who never attended college, and students returning to college . The Student Success Package The MATC Foundation’s Student Success Package fi lls gaps in support for tuition and required program fees, books, supplies or equipment costs, and sometimes emergency grants for unexpected expenses such as a fl at tire . Coordinated with any other available aid and scholarships, the Student Success Package aims to reduce fi nancial concerns so students can concentrate on their classes . Completion and Program-Speci fi c Scholarships The MATC Foundation also offers scholarships tailored to special circumstances, such as support to fi nish those last few credits for a credential or degree . There are also many scholarships that are speci fi c to a student’s area of study . Scholarship Process Overview Most scholarships are awarded as multiple-semester (Fall and Spring) scholarships for the next academic year . All scholarship descriptions above are an overview and additional criteria may be applicable . Here’s when to should apply: New high school graduates and fi rst-time MATC students may apply May 1-31, 2026 . Current and continuing students should apply February through March . DUAL ENROLLMENT SAVES TIME AND MONEY Jump-start your college and career path through dual enrollment programs that allow high school students to earn both high school and college credit at little or no cost . These programs offer fl exible learning options, including online and in person at MATC, helping students explore careers, complete transferable credits or even earn a career credential before graduation! MATC Dual Enrollment Programs include: • Dual Enrollment Academy Explore workforce-ready programs full time during your senior year . • M-Cubed College Connections Milwaukee Public Schools seniors earn college credit at MATC or UW Milwaukee . • Start College Now High school juniors and seniors take individual courses that align with their career goals . • Transcripted Credit High school students (grades 9-12) take MATC-approved courses taught by their own instructors credentialed through MATC . Programs are predominantly paid by school districts . Families should work with their high school counselors . There are self-pay options .
