Program Description Prepare to enter the emergency services fi eld, which involves working with other healthcare professionals to deliver critical, prehospital emergency medical care. This program also is designed to enhance existing skills of individuals working in the fi eld. Completing the program with a grade of C or higher prepares you to take the National Registry Examination, which is required for certi fi cation and licensure in Wisconsin.

Location: Mequon Campus, Oak Creek Campus Start Dates: August, January and June

Semester sequence based on a full-time course load and a Fall start date. Program curriculum requirements are subject to change. Current MATC students should consult their Academic Program Plan for specific curriculum requirements. MATC courses are offered in person, entirely online or partially online. Check each course’s delivery options in Self-Service at selfservice.matc.edu .

Admission Requirements: Students under 18 are eligible to enroll in the course and the NREMT certi fi cation exam upon completion. NREMT certi fi cation is required for Wisconsin licensure. Note: A Wisconsin EMT license will not be issued until the applicant is 18 years old. Waiting List: Yes. Visit the program’s webpage at matc.edu to view the waiting list process and all requirements. Financial Aid Eligible: No Career Outlook Between 2024 and 2034, employment for EMTs and paramedics is projected to outpace the national average. Employment opportunities exist in both the private and public sectors.
