Career Outlook The demand for industrial maintenance technicians is currently outpacing the national average, driven by the rapid adoption of “smart manufacturing” and the critical cost of equipment downtime. While the national average growth for general maintenance roles is about 4%, specialized industrial machinery roles are projected to grow signi fi cantly faster as factories integrate robotics, arti fi cial intelligence and advanced sensors.
