Healthcare Academic and Career Pathway LPN to ADN Progression

Program Description This program is designed for licensed practical nurses (LPNs) seeking to advance their careers by earning an associate degree in nursing. Through a combination of classroom instruction, hands on lab experiences and clinical practice, students build on their existing knowledge and skills to prepare for the role of a registered nurse. Graduates are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN exam. Location: Downtown Milwaukee Campus, Mequon Campus Start Dates: August and January Admission Requirement: Must hold a current Wisconsin Practical Nurse License. Academic Preparedness Requirements: Before taking core courses, a student must meet the following criteria: • GPA of 2.5 or higher at MATC • Complete the following courses with a B- or higher: BIOSCI-177 (or BIOSCI-201), BIOSCI-179 (or BIOSCI-202), and BIOSCI-197. • HESI Exam or PN Exit Exam with 900 or higher (three lifetime attempts).
