Program Description Prepare for a career in music by developing your skills as a well rounded musician. Areas of study include theory fundamentals such as reading, analysis, composition, ear training and more. Students have opportunities to focus on performance or composition courses. Career Outlook In preparation for a career in music, the program is designed to develop your skills as a well-rounded musician while focusing on your primary instrument. Program Learning Outcomes • Create an arrangement for an existing piece of music using genre specific, appropriate stylings. • Demonstrate collaborative musicianship skills in rehearsal and performance settings. • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of industry notation software for arranging and composition applications. • Perform music at a professional level. • Develop a marketing plan for musical career promotion which includes current social media trends. • Instruct music students in an individual lesson studio setting.
