Bilingual classes and programs To meet employer and community needs of the growing Hispanic and Hmong populations within the Milwaukee area, MATC o ff ers courses and programs taught in Spanish/Hmong and in English. For example, classes assist students who are obtaining their GED in Spanish. Occupational English-language- acquisition courses help students acquire the English language skills needed to transition into MATC’s bilingual diploma and certi fi cate programs. Bilingual courses also are o ff ered in business, health, liberal arts, childhood education and other areas. For the list of bilingual classes o ff ered in a semester, see selfservice.matc.edu . Of fi ce of Bilingual Education If your fi rst language is not English, or if you are fl uent in English and Spanish or English and Hmong, MATC o ff ers bilingual programs and services to help you reach your academic and personal goals. MATC can help you improve your English skills, obtain your GED in Spanish, enroll in a degree or diploma program, and more. Bilingual services are o ff ered at MATC campuses as well as community-based organizations.
