Luxury Portfolio Vol. 08 Issue 01 - Gary E. Richardson

CASTLE OF FASHION DESIGNER GIANFRANCO FERRÈ This magnificent castle was formerly resided by famed fashion designer and stylist Gianfranco Ferrè. Known as “the architect of fashion,” Ferrè’s designs had artistic details and sculptural lines that revolutionized Italian fashion. In addition to creating his own artistic vision on the runways, Ferrè also served as the Stylistic Director for acclaimed French fashion house, Christian Dior from 1989–1997. The castle was originally purchased by Ferrè to create a fashion school and cultural center, but the plans were halted following his death in 2007. The property is scheduled to be completely restored and currently consists of the main villa (the castle) and two spacious guesthouses on the grounds. The 5,000+ square-foot estate also has additional service rooms and two wine cellars in the basement area. Panoramic views of the lake and surrounding greenery can be seen from the property’s two private beaches. Web ID: XGWB88
