Corporate Report100

Renovating KC Design + Remodel 1 st Year Gross Revenue: 2025: $10,892,688 2022: $3,074,624 Growth: 254.28% Average Annual Growth Rate: 84.76% Full-time employees: 28 Brothers Steven and Ben Ross founded this brash startup in 2020—hardly an auspicious year to launch anything. Under their vision and leadership, this family-owned Lenexa design-build firm rode the remodeling wave to its Top 10 debut. Renovating KC integrates in-house design, project management and con struction under one roof, guiding kitchen, bathroom, basement and whole-home renovations from 3D renderings and curated material selections through final construction. The growth story is deliberately unglamorous: standardized workflows, project management systems and dedicated project teams that made timelines predictable—which drove client satisfaction, which in turn drove the referral engine of past clients, trade partners and real estate professionals that the company credits as its primary source of new business. Scaling the internal team without sacrific ing craftsmanship, the duo’s crew of 28 more than tripled revenue over the period.

METHODOLOGY: To qualify, a company must be a stand-alone corporate entity and must have begun generating revenue by March 31, 2022. Eligible companies were required to report at least $200,000 in revenue for 2022 and at least $1 million for 2025. Companies that completed acquisitions during the measurement period were required to include the acquired operations’ revenues for both comparison years, ensuring that reported growth reflected a consistent organizational base rather than an artificial increase created solely by an acquisition. All revenues were reported on the accrual basis. Companies that ordinarily maintain their financial records on a cash basis were required to convert those figures to accrual-basis revenue before submitting them. Rankings were determined by calculating the percentage increase in revenue from 2022 through 2025; total revenue size did not determine placement. Because many privately held companies are not legally required to disclose financial results publicly, the Corporate Report 100 depends on a combination of voluntary participation, independent research and supporting documentation. The resulting ranking is intended to provide the broadest credible assessment possible of sustained private-company growth across the Kansas City region during the 2022–2025 period. Ingram’s is proud to serve as the steward of the Corporate Report 100 annual ranking of the 100 fastest-growing companies headquartered in the g3reater Kansas City.
