CELEBRATING KANSAS CITY’S LEGACY OF PHILANTHROPY Congratulations to the 2022 honorees who make our city a great place to live. Our nominee Debby Ballard is a true local hero for her decades of engagement across the city and her current leadership as president of the UMKC Board of Trustees. We also admire, celebrate and treasure 2022 Philanthropists of the Year Peggy and Terry Dunn for their longtime support of Kansas City’s university and another pair of local heroes, UMKC alum Dr. Michael Weaver and his wife, Jamila Weaver , for their work in the community. The mark of a great city is its spirit of giving and the entire class of 2022 deserves recognition for contributing their time and talents.
