Ingram's April 2024

HIGHLIGHT | 2024 40 UNDER FORTY PHOTO SHOOT

Meet Kansas City’s Business Future Once again, a new class of 40 Under Forty strengthens the fabric of executive-level networking.

There’s always a certain satisfaction attached to selecting each year’s new class of Ingram’s 40 Under Forty. An even more palpable sense of achievement is evident when members of the new cohort get together for the first time. That came on April 3, when this year’s class congregated at the new CPKC Stadium, home of the KC Current, for this year’s cover shot and their individual profile photographs. We see it all the time: New introductions as well as the surprise that comes from recognizing a friend or past business associate who’s been included in the same class. Whether they are first- time acquaintances, though, or people who have collaborated on previous business transactions, what we’re privileged to witness—and be a facilitator of—is another level of business networking. The 40 Under Forty program exists to intro

duce to the current business leadership a large block of talented, motivated, successful and civi cally minded young executives. The next genera tion of Kansas City leaders, if you will. Secondary to that, the program establishes connections between executives in business sec tors that might rarely align. There’s an unspoken power in those synergies, and we think it’s one reason why, after 26 years, 40 Under Forty has helped strengthen this region’s reputation for an executive community that’s highly responsive to the needs, interests and questions of emerging companies. Across more than a generation, 1,040 honorees have been recognized; many of them are among the region’s most prominent business figures. Our hope is that, over the next generation, the same will be said for the classes that followed the inau gural 40 Under Forty back in 1998.
