Patriot Images NORTHERN HIGH SCHOOL Yearbooks have an obligation to showcase trends and pop culture, and Northern High School did just that with this

spread. Taylor Swift is a cultural phenomenon, and focusing on her impact on pop culture was a smart move. The staff incorporated a variety of cutouts, creating depth with the dominant cutout of Taylor kicking back. This spread reads like an editorial with the subhead, “The Era’s Tour has thousands of teenagers spending hundreds of dollars. Is it worth it?” The title alone caught my attention and encouraged me to read more. Using multiple perspectives from Swifties at their school, the staff told a well-rounded story while also designing an excellent spread. DF
