grow in their careers has been one of the most rewarding parts of my job. My involvement with AOCS began many years ago, and the Society has played a central role in my professional life. I have served as vicechair of the Health & Nutrition Division, session chair, judge for awards, course organizer, and member of several working groups. In 2024, I was honored to be named AOCS Fellow, and two years later, elected incoming President of

the Society. These recognitions strengthened my commitment to give back to the community that has accompanied me throughout my career. As I begin my term as President, my priority is to continue building on the strong foundations laid by past AOCS leaders. AOCS is uniquely positioned to lead global conversations in lipid science, proteins, surfactants, and related materials. I see AOCS as a unique platform where knowledge

is shared generously and where collaboration fuels progress. I want to help the Society embrace the scientific revolutions ahead: sustainability, digitalization, datadriven science, precision fermentation, and nextgeneration nutritional and functional lipids. With more than three decades of experience in innovation and strategy, I hope to bring both scientific depth and forwardlooking vision to our community. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, hiking, photography, and traveling, activities that help me stay curious and grounded. These moments of exploration remind me how important it is to look at the world with an open mind, something I always try to bring into my professional life as well. It is an honor to serve as the next President of AOCS. I am deeply grateful for the trust placed in me, and I look forward to working with our members, volunteers, and staff to continue advancing our mission. Together, we will build the next chapter of AOCS, one that remains rooted in scientific excellence while embracing the opportunities of a rapidly changing world.
