Message from Bill O’Toole

You only need to reflect on the Word of God to understand our mission – why we exist. And when you see our members in action, you realize just how unique we are compared to other financial organizations.

Love one another; as I have loved you. John 13:34

Serving God through serving others – the first part of our mission statement. Together with our Lodges/Service Clubs, last year we provided nearly $1.7 million in charitable support to organizations such as The Salvation Army and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

When we give to the poor, we reflect the love of God.

Providing financial security – by providing members with easy to understand financial products, we help protect today and provide security and peace of mind for tomorrow. Life insurance, after all, is a love letter to your family.

When we insure our families, we reflect the love of God.

Enhancing quality of life – we work to build the kingdom of God by supporting members’ efforts to improve our communities, uplift our parishes and make our world a better place to live. Last year 96,000 hours were volunteered by members.

When we give of our time, we reflect the love of God.

With thanksgiving for your membership, I pray that you have a Blessed Advent, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Fraternally,

William R. O’Toole President & CEO

Your Financial Partner

When we go through life-changing events – such as going to college, getting married or buying a new home – we’re often met with decisions that can impact the rest of our lives. When you’re making these decisions, it’s good to have someone you can trust on your side. As a member of Degree of Honor, you know that we take a “Main Street” approach, not a “Wall Street” approach in all that we do. We realize the importance of spending time getting to know you and understanding your goals. Only then can we work together to determine the best financial solutions to meet your changing needs. Here are just a few examples of how our trusted advisors have provided customized solutions to members … helping them establish financial stability at every stage of life. The gift that keeps on giving Carol, a grandmother of three young school-aged grandchildren, was working with her Advisor when she expressed her desire to purchase life insurance as a stocking stuffer for her son’s children. On a fixed income herself, Carol and her Advisor together determined that a Term Life Insurance for Children plan was the perfect fit! Carol purchased $30,000 worth of coverage for only $30 a year for each of her grandchildren. Carol was most excited to share with her son that the children could convert their policies into additional life insurance down the road regardless of their health. Protection for a growing family Diego, a 35-year-old father of two, with one on the way, is the family’s breadwinner. He hasn’t yet reached his prime earning years and is concerned about his family if something were to happen to him. Diego and his Advisor decided that he needed a customized plan that included permanent coverage that would last his lifetime, as well as term coverage for the next few critical years. His new $50,000 Value Life Insurance plan was an affordable permanent coverage option, maximizing his dollar without breaking the bank. To address his temporary needs, he added a $100,000 20-Year Term Rider to his permanent policy. Building for retirement Sofia is a 45-year-old mother of two teenage daughters. She’s been diligently working to ensure she’ll be debt-free when she retires. Sofia’s Advisor recommended a 20-Pay Whole Life Insurance plan, which would require her to only make payments until she retires at age 65. That means Sofia will enter retirement with the relief knowing she has the coverage she needs without having to make another payment. Have you experienced a life-changing event recently? While you prepare for the new year, we invite you to reach out to your Advisor to re-assess your financial well-being. At the end of the day, it’s not about products; it’s about having comfort in knowing that you’ve made the right financial decisions for you and your family.
