VANGUARD AWARD
The Vanguard Industry Leadership Award recognizes NWFA members who have made significant contributions to the NWFA and wood flooring industry through volunteerism, service, and leadership.
DREW KERN INFINITY CLAIMS MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS
Drew Kern of Infinity Claims Management Solutions has spent decades giving back to the wood flooring industry. As an instructor, he has led NWFA programs across North America, participated as a lead instructor in every NWFACP certification class from 2008 to 2014, and served on the NWFACP board of directors. He has been a consistent recruiter of new NWFA members and has contributed to installation guidelines, education committees, and trade publications along the way. His reach extends beyond the NWFA as well, with active involvement in ANSI, ASTM, and IICRC standards bodies.
BRYAN PARK FOOTPRINTS FLOORS
Bryan Park founded Footprints Floors in Denver after serving in the United States Air Force, driven by a belief that the flooring industry deserved more honesty, fairness, and professionalism. He has since grown the company to more than 150 territories across the country. Park has been an active member of the NWFA since 2009, serving on the Board of Directors, the Expo Committee, and contributing to multiple steering and nominating committees over the years. He holds three NWFA certifications and is a Partners in Education sponsor, reflecting a long-term commitment to education and the future of the industry.
TOMMY SANCIC OLDE WOOD LTD.
Tommy Sancic founded Olde Wood Ltd. in Magnolia, Ohio in 1997. Since that time, he has turned antique reclaimed and wide-plank flooring from a niche specialty into a respected, specification-ready product category. His contributions to the NWFA Installation Guidelines and Hardwood Floors magazine have helped installers, designers, and owners understand the realities of working with reclaimed material. He has pushed the industry forward by pairing traditional milling craftsmanship with modern technology to produce consistent, custom flooring at scale. A quiet advocate for sustainability, Sancic built a business around rescuing century-old lumber from demolition and giving it a second life underfoot.
