Honorees NWFA RECOGNIZES 2026 Service Award The National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) was founded by the industry, for the industry. Our organization thrives due to the generous support of volunteer instructors, committee members, board members, and numerous other volunteers. To thank those members who go above and beyond, NWFA recognizes volunteers with Service Awards. The following recipients were recognized at the Wood Flooring Expo this past April in Orlando, Florida.

EMERGING LEADER OF THE YEAR

The NWFA Emerging Leader Award recognizes a young professional who is stepping up, getting involved, and helping shape the future of this industry. This individual serves as an example of professionalism and success to others.

OLIVER R. BARAJAS BRIDGEBAY FLOORING

Oliver R. Barajas of Bridgebay Flooring in Hayward, California, has been an active and committed member of the Emerging Leaders Council, playing a key role in recruiting new NWFA members and expanding the council’s reach. He has been a consistent advocate for the industry, working to elevate its future and give the next generation of wood flooring professionals a stronger voice.
