1. Ethan Abrudeanu President Broad Leaf Hardwoods LOUISVILLE, KY Ethan Abrudeanu launched his own flooring business in Chicago with his brother in 2018 and, over the past seven years, has built a reputation for excellence while serving high end, detail-oriented clients. In 2020, he collaborated with Archetypal Imagery and earned an NWFA Wood Floor of the Year award for Best in Marquetry/Inlay. Now based in Louisville, Kentucky, Abrudeanu is growing his company independently, carving out a unique niche by bringing fresh, innovative ideas to the market and working closely with discerning customers and designers. He is committed deeply to using high-quality, U.S.-sourced hardwoods and is passionate about shifting the industry mindset away from cheap imports toward sustainably produced American products. Abrudeanu and his wife recently raised thousands of dollars for their local community, helping to fight poverty and transform it by empowering families and youth to succeed in education and achieve life long self-sufficiency. They donated to Family Scholar House.

As the office manager for Footprints Floors of Denver, Allison Adams serves as the operational backbone of one of the company’s largest and most high-performing territories. She oversees all scheduling, customer communication, field coordination, and local bookkeeping, bringing precision, structure, and financial clarity to a fast-paced environment. Her calm leadership, problem-solving mindset, and ability to manage competing priorities have made her a key force behind the territory’s consistent growth and success. Adams has played a pivotal role in implementing process improvements that have increased efficiency, enhanced the customer experience, and elevated the internal systems that support crews and clients alike. By serving on the PTA at her children’s school, volunteering regularly on campus, and coaching youth soccer at the local YMCA, Adams creates a meaningful impact in her community and models leadership and character beyond the workplace. Whether managing complex logistics or mentoring young athletes, she brings heart, discipline, and a standard of excellence to everything she does.

3. Demi Balasa Credit Analyst Derr Flooring Co. WILLOW GROVE, PA

Demi Balasa joined Derr Flooring Co. in June 2022, beginning her career in the credit department. She represents the fifth generation of her family at Derr, as the granddaughter of former company president Chester Derr, Jr. The flooring distribution company, established more than 100 years ago, now has seven warehouses across four states.

Balasa currently is transitioning into the role of claims manager and plays a key role in the distribution of rebates. She is a proud graduate of Lehigh University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Outside of work, Balasa is passionate about animal welfare. She actively helps raise money for the SPCA and volunteers her time assisting other local animal shelters. Her commitment to supporting rescue animals reflects her deep compassion and community spirit.
