“My motivation for coming to these classes, number one, is problem-solving. Working for a distributor, I have contractors coming in all day, and I talk shop with them. It’s nice to be able to know exactly what they’re dealing with and be able to offer practical solutions. Being able to understand the principles of laying out a floor like you learn at the NWFA gives me another level of confidence in my conversations with them. As a guy who sells products, of course I can talk to them about sandpaper and finishes, but now, understanding layout, there’s an entirely new layer of conversation that I can have.” – Javier Morris of RW Supply + Design NWFA Wood Talk Podcast

“There’s so much craftsmanship in this industry – more so than many professional trades. As such, it’s good to keep up skills as a craftsman and fine-tune. You should always be learning, always looking for something out there to keep you excited, as this is an exciting business and industry. I see some of the floors out there and think, wow, and I wonder how they even think of these things. It’s inspiring. Add to that, we’re now also working with walls and ceilings in about twenty percent of the jobs that we do.” – Peter West of West Flooring & Design NWFA Wood Talk Podcast
