The Emerging Leaders Council offers the support and opportunities needed to grow, not just as professionals, but as future leaders. At its core, the ELC is dedicated to leadership development. Through mentorship, training, and networking, members gain the skills and confidence to advance their careers while contributing to the broader mission of the NWFA and the industry's long-term success. But it’s not just about professional growth – it’s about being part of something larger. The ELC fosters a deep sense of community and shared purpose. As members, we are united by a common goal: to build a bridge to the future of the wood flooring industry while preserving the values of craftsmanship, sustainability, and quality that have long been the foundation of our trade. PERSONAL GROWTH THROUGH MENTORSHIP AND RELATIONSHIPS One of the most significant benefits of being part of the ELC is the access to mentorship from NWFA Board Members. When I first became involved, I was amazed at the willingness to share their experiences, knowledge, and insights with young professionals like myself. These mentor relationships have been instrumental in my growth, guiding me on navigating both the challenges and opportunities that come with a career in hardwood flooring.

As the chair of the National Wood Flooring Association’s (NWFA) Emerging Leaders Council (ELC), I have witnessed firsthand the profound impact this organization can have on one’s career, including mine. Since joining the NWFA and becoming involved with the ELC, I’ve been fortunate to build lasting relationships with the people leading the hardwood flooring industry. The mentorship I’ve received and the opportunities to collaborate with peers and industry veterans have shaped my professional development and inspired me to contribute to the growth of the next generation of wood flooring professionals. THE MISSION OF THE NWFA EMERGING LEADERS COUNCIL The mission of the NWFA Emerging Leaders Council is simple yet profound: “To empower young professionals in the wood flooring industry through leadership development, mentorship, and peer connections.
