Walter adds that if it wasn’t for what he learned in the class, the client would have reversed charges on his floor material. “A big thanks goes to NWFA,” he says. “It was truly remarkable how everything fell into place.”

For Brent Walter of The Flooring Guy in Durango, Colorado, the return on investment surfaced quickly. Soon after the school there was a delay in receiving premade medallions for a job, so he ended up making them in his shop instead (pictured above on this page). “Lenny’s instruction at that class at Palo Duro was what allowed us to pull this off,” says Walter. “Truth be told, I had zero experience doing these until that medallions class. Talk about being thrown into the fire.”
