HOW TO KNOW WHETHER YOUR MOISTURE DEVICE COMES WITH AN APP Smart moisture apps usually are designed by manufacturers to pair with their moisture device products. If you are not sure if your moisture device has an accompanying app, you can check the product description page on the manufacturers’ website (or look in your owner’s manual) for more information. To download the app, search for it by name on the App Store or Google Play. Once it is downloaded, you will want to follow the app’s instructions for pairing it to your moisture device. Smart moisture apps open the way to faster, easier, more efficient moisture testing. MOISTURE ALERTS Some moisture apps can be programmed to send you alerts (which you will receive as long as you’re within Bluetooth range of your moisture monitoring device) when your readings exceed a certain threshold. These alerts will help you spot moisture issues early on so you can resolve them before they damage your client’s floor. SECURE DATA STORAGE Smart moisture apps offer secure storage for all of your readings. Because the readings are stored digitally on your app, you won’t ever have to worry about losing paper records. Many apps even allow you to backup the data on an account you can access from any computer or phone. And because the app does all the work and keeps a secure record of the data it collects, no one can say the data has been messed up or tampered with. This makes your app a trustworthy resource for you and your clients. Its secure records also provide you with a strong defense should anyone question the quality of your work.
